Meritorious Students Felicitated by Educational Guide Centre

The Educational Guide Center (EGC) of Thoubal Moijing organised the "26th Annual Prize Distribution Cum Felicitation Program of the Meritorious Students, Moijing" at Moijing Community Hall today.

The Felicitation programme was graced by Khangabok AC MLA Okram Surjakumar Singh, President of EGC Abdur Razzaw MM, President of Panchayat Parishad Manipur, and Ex-member of Leisangthem ZP Md. Abdul Latif, Ex-Pradhan of Moijing Gram Panchayat Md. Abdul Warish, and DI of ZEO Zone III Thoubal Ningombam Tiken as Chief Guest, President, and Guests of Honor, respectively.

At today's felicitation, 154 students were present, of which 26 excel in Islamic Education, 72 students who cleared X and XII exams recently conducted by CBSE, BOSEM, and COHSEM with flying colors, 2 students who cracked the NET Exam conducted by UGC and are eligible for the post of Assistant Professor, 2 students who cracked the NEET Exam and are eligible to pursue an MBBS course, 7 talented athletes who bagged National and International medals in various disciplines and 45 students who bagged positions in the Talent Hunt Exam and Quiz Competition conducted by EGC Moijing were encouraged and honoured by presenting gifts. The Best Teacher Award was also given as encouragement to the teachers.
Delivering the Chief Guest's speech, Okram Surjakumar appreciated the role taken by the EGC. He continued that he was very excited to hear that EGC would play a role in hiring the required teacher at Moijing High School and also share salary between ZP Members, Pradhan, and EGC. He also said that students should always remember the contributions of EGC and persuaded students to provide physical, moral, and financial support to the weaker section when they become successful.
He continued that a voice has been raised in the Assembly to recruit teachers. And it is very unfortunate to hear about the transfer of three teachers from Moijing High School amid demands to send adequate teachers. He also assured that he will do his best to fulfil needs and help students, the EGC, and the Guardian with their requirements and difficulties.
