Manipur CM SHRI N BIREN SINGH INAUGURATES, LAYS FOUNDATION STONES FOR VARIOUS PROJECTS IN SENAPATI

Manipur CM Shri N Biren Singh inaugurated and laid foundation stones of various development projects at Senapati headquarter today, and said that, there are plans to develop Senapati comparable to Kohima.

Hon'ble CM was speaking as the chief guest of a formal function organised by the District Administration, Senapati at the Senapati Public Ground. The projects include inauguration of Mini Outdoor Stadium at Senapati Public Ground with a project cost of Rs. 725.87 lakh under NEC, Sub-Treasury Office, Tadubi, Senapati, Open Gym at Senapati Public ground, UCO Bank, Phaibung Khullen Branch, Model Anganwadi Centre Buildings at Paomata Centre, Senapati and at Rikhumai Taphou, Senapati and laying of foundation stone for construction of Synthetic Football Turf at Senapati Public Ground, District Youth Skilling, Entrepreneurship and Employment Centre, Senapati and Indigenous Sports Complex at Maram Khunou.

Hon'ble CM asserted that the lying of the Synthetic Football Turf at Senapati Public Ground and Indigenous Sports Complex at Maram Khunou are very close to his heart and committed before the public that the two projects will be delivered to the people before the Election Code of Conduct for the 2024 Parliamentary Election.

Highlighting that the government is able to return to power because the government was able to deliver on their promises in its previous term, Hon'ble CM said the public will not trust the government if it is unable to deliver.

Stating that lack of interactions between the government and the public will lead to widening the gap, Hon'ble CM said that the Go to Hills, Go to Village and Meeyamgi Numit programmes were launched to bridge this gap.

Hon'ble CM who inspected the district Meeyamgi Numit and Hill Leaders Day underway at the District Headquarter on his way to the venue also expressed happiness on learning that around 37,000 cards for Ayushman Bharat and Chief Minister’s Hakshel Gi Tengbang have been distributed in the district.


Hon'ble CM also highlighted several other projects being taken up in the district including construction of PHSC buildings at Chakumai, Chakha, Rajaimei, Sadim Lakhamai High School building, 50-bedded Girls’ Hostel at Sardar Patel H/S, Mao gate, Primary School at Liyai H/S, Working Women Hostel at Senapati DHQ, 50-bedded Girls’ Hostel at Purul Hr. Secondary School, 50-bedded Girls’ Hostel at Liyai Khullen H/S, installation of Water Supply Line with Reservior Tank at District Hospital, Senapati, installation of Water Supply Like with Reservoir tank at JNV, Mao, Staff Quarter at PHC Laii, PHC Building at Pudunamei, PHSC building at Maopundung, Model Residential School at Senapati District HQ, 100 bedded hostel at Residential School, Bendramai, PHC Building at Oinam Hill, etc.

The War on Drugs is almost on the brink of success today with the support of the masses, village leaders, religious leader, CSOs, etc., he said adding that the movement has become a public movement.

Further appealing to the public to support the movement against corruption, Hon'ble CM further said there should be no room for corruption in any new recruitment process.

Hon'ble CM also invited the people of the district to attend the Manipur Sangai Festival.

Villagers expressed their gratitude to Hon'ble CM for opening of the UCO Bank branch at Phaibung Khullen, and offered a memento to the Chief Minister through the Village Authority.

The function was also attended by Works Minister Shri Govindas Konthoujam, Tribal Affairs and Hills Minister Shri Letpao Haokip, MLA Mao AC Shri Losii Dikho, MLA Karong AC Shri J Kumo Sha,

Transport Minister Kashim Vashum, Chairman Hills Area Committee, Manipur Shri Dinganglung Gangmei, Langthabal MLA Shri Karam Shyam, Mayang Imphal MLA Shri Kongkham Robindro Singh among others.

The formal function was attended by DLOs, village authority leaders, CSO representatives, tribe leaders, students and General public.
